From 1707 to 2016

Doplr (pronounced ‘doppler’) was born in 2016 with the idea of creating a collection of luxury watches with functions for measuring vital parameters such as pulse and respiratory rate, with reference to history.

In 1707, Sir John Floyer, an English physician, and Samuel Watson, a London watchmaker, created a ‘pulse-counting watch’: the first pulsometer watch. He used it to measure his patients’ pulses, a revolution at the time.

The union of time and medicine

Doplr symbolises this link between time and life: the Doppler effect makes it possible to measure speeds (in metres/second) and to study blood flow.

The logo is the perfect synthesis of this union: the snake of Asklepios, symbol of Medicine, entwined around the Infinity sign, symbol of Time.

New 2026 collection

Our first collection, the Pulse Watch, produced in a limited edition of 350 pieces, reinterpreted the pulsometric scale within a Swiss-made luxury watch.

In 2026, we will launch a new collection dedicated to the world of rescue and extreme conditions — while remaining faithful to the codes of luxury and vital parameter measurement that define DOPLR.
